Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Information

On December 19, 2014, the Michigan Legislature ordered the enrollment of House Bill 4001, which was signed by the Governor on January 11, 2015. The Bill enacted significant amendments to Michigan’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), primarily in the area of fees that may be charged for responding to FOIA request.  The amendments are effective as of July 1, 2015.

Individuals must use the Freedom of Information Act Request form.  Click Here for a copy of the form.

Once the District received the Freedom of Information Act Request form, the individual submitting the FOIA request will receive a Freedom of Information Act Response letter along with a copy of the Freedom of Information Act Fee Itemization form within the allowable time frame.
