I am currently a 2nd grade teacher at Will L. Lee Elementary. This is my ninth year of teaching. My first year was in Greeley, Colorado where I taught first grade. When returning to Michigan I accepted a position in Van Dyke Public Schools where I taught third grade. For the first two years I taught in a self-contained classroom and for the previous two years I taught as a departmentalized teacher. I was the core reading teacher for all of third grade. I have a passion for teaching reading and love watching my students grow as well as find their own love for reading. I am thrilled to be part of the Will L. Lee community.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a Major in Language Arts. I recently completed my Masters Degree in Education with a Reading and Mathematics focus.  

Outside of the classroom, I am a mom of two wonderful boys. My boys are two years apart and are very active, keeping me very busy!  My husband and I enjoy taking our boys camping, traveling, and watching/attending sporting events.
