Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year!
We are starting the new school year off with great news! Richmond Community Schools will be participating in the Michigan School Meals Program. This allows the District to provide breakfast and lunch to in-person students at no cost to minimize the financial challenges to families.
Richmond Community Schools offer healthy breakfast options at each building. At Lee Elementary, breakfast is served from 7:30 – 7:55 am each school day. Richmond Middle School serves breakfast from 7:20 – 7:45 am each school day. At Richmond High School, breakfast is available from 7:20 – 7:40 am each school day. We encourage all students to take part in the school breakfast program to ensure they are maximizing their learning potential.
Breakfast and lunch menus can be found on the Richmond Community Schools Food Service webpage.
For all students, please take a moment to submit the Summer EBT and Educational Benefits application. Applications for Summer EBT and Education Benefits with Michigan School Meals Program collects information needed to ensure the school receives state and federal funding for education programs. Without this information, Richmond Community Schools and the community could lose important state funding for educational programs that we are entitled to.
These supplemental programs have the potential to offer supports and service including, but not limited to:
- Instructional support (staff, supplies & materials, etc.)
- Non-instructional services (counseling, social work, health services, etc.)
- SAT / ACT Fee Waivers
- AP Testing Fee Reduction
- Scholarship Opportunities
- College Application Fee Waivers
- Professional Learning for staff
- Parent and Community engagement supplies and activities
- Technology
- Pandemic-EBT
As a bonus Richmond Community Schools will be giving a $5.00 gift card to each family attending the school that submitted the highest percentage of online applications by October 1, 2023.
