I started teaching in 1995.

My passion for teaching began as a child when I played school in our family basement. I was a student who struggled. I then made the decision very early on in my life that all I wanted to do was help others learn and grow. I never once strayed from my decision to become a teacher.

Outside the Classroom

In addition to my teaching duties I am involved in our School Improvement Team,  and March is Reading Month.

Outside of Richmond, I am a certified Teacher Leader through the MISD, and Teacher of the Year 2014, and a nominee for Macomb County Teacher of the Year 2014.

I currently live in Clinton Township with my husband of 23 years and our two daughters. Victoria is a sophomore at Grand Valley State University. Juliana is in the 10th grade at Chippewa Valley High School. As a family we enjoy taking mini trips and traveling every few years to visit family in England. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking, biking and catching up with friends and family.
