Classes:
I am highly qualified to teach K-8 grades.  I can teach 6th-8th grade ELA and/or Science, as well as all subjects K-5.  I am currently teaching Title I in grades 4th-8th, as well as a 7th grade ELA.

Education Experience:
Associate of Arts degree - St Clair County Community College
Bachelor of Education - Elementary (K-5) ELA and Science (6-8) - University of Michigan
Masters in Educational Leadership - Saginaw Valley

I started teaching in 2000.  I taught for 14 years in Port Huron schools, a year in Acworth, Georgia, a year in Marsyville, and 2 years at Landmark Academy before coming to Richmond.  I have taught 5th through 8th grades, and summer school to 2nd graders.  I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher, when I started babysitting at the age of 10.  I have been teaching for 22 years now, and still find that I am very passionate about working with kids and helping them find their passions in life as well.  I believe I have a firm, but fair attitude towards teaching and believe all students are capable of learning.

Outside of the Classroom:
In addition to my teaching duties, I am also a Mom to a 13 year old daughter named Izzy.  She is currently in 8th grade and attends the middle school in Marysville.  In my spare time, I enjoy camping, reading, traveling, and acting.  I grew up in Memphis, Michigan, and have 2 older brothers; and 4 nieces.
