Our Early Childhood Department is here to provide a caring environment for your child and to provide an atmosphere where children will develop an enthusiasm for learning, exploring, and creativity through the use of constructive play activities in the areas of art, music, drama, literature, and cooking.

  Creative Curriculum  
   




The Creative Curriculum for Preschool
 is an early childhood curriculum that focuses on
project-based investigations as a means for children to apply skills and addresses four
areas of development: social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language. The curriculum
is designed to foster development of the whole child through teacher-led, small and large
group activities centered around 11 interest areas:

  • Cooking
  • Dramatic Play
  • Discovery
  • Computers
  • Toys and Games
  • Sand and Water
  • Outdoors
  • Art

Tuition Based Preschool Program-


The program operates within the school calendar, with
the exception of the first and last week of school.

Thrilling Threes: 
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 
 7:50 a.m. - 11:50 p.m.
 The cost of tuition for this program is $1200 with a $50 registration fee.


Fabulous Fours:   3 and 5 day options are available.  Class will be held from 8:00-11:00
am  for the 4 year old, 5 day option.  The 4 year old, 3 day option is at
11:30 am -2:30 pm.  Both options require a $50 registration fee.  
The tuition for the three day program is $1200 and the five day
program is $1700.

Full Day Options are Available- Full day options combine structured childcare with
our Tuition Preschool (The cost for the structured child care during the school day is
$4.50 an hour.)

*Children must be toilet trained.

Great Start Readiness Program 


The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a FREE preschool
program for families that meet program requirements;including eligibility guidelines and existing risk factors. 
Enrollment is limited and prioritized based on income.  Low/extremely low income is the primary determining factor when placing children into GSRP.

Interested families must complete the pre-application below. 
For the 2020-21 school year, children must be 4 years old 
on or before September 1, 2020. 
*Age waivers for students born between September 2, 2016 and December 1, 2016 may be accepted after September 1, 2020.

Head Start - Federal Program Department of Health and Human Services

Free Preschool for 3 and 4 year old Macomb County children from income
eligible families.

Designed to cover the following areas:
Early Childhood Education
Health Services
Family and Community Partnerships
 
Traditional Classrooms run 3 1/2 hours per day (Monday - Thursday)

Early Childhood Special Education-
 

The Richmond School District Early Childhood Special Education Program is an early
 intervention service designed to provide children and families with early learning
experiences in a nurturing environment to promote successful educational experiences.
A preschool program is available five half days per week for children three through
five years of age. Our program is staffed with highly qualified Early Childhood teachers,
professional support staff and experienced paraprofessionals. Children must meet
eligibility criteria to receive services and/or attend the preschool classroom.

Our child care center is located within Will L. Lee Elementary school. 
The child care center is offered for school age children
(3 year old preschool through 6th grade).  *Children must be toilet trained


Child Care Center hours and rates:
6:30 AM - 7:50 AM -$5 flat fee
2:50 PM - 6:00 PM -$7 flat fee
7:50 AM - 2:50 PM -$4.50 an hour
