From the time school was shut down until the scheduled start date (09/08/20), students will have gone almost six (6) months without face-to-face instruction.  In an effort to gather input and feedback from parents/guardians, please take a minute to take a short survey about changing the start date of school for the 2020-21 school year by clicking on the link below.

School staff members across the State hope things will be somewhat normal when districts re-open this fall.  The biggest fear is that there will be a second wave of the pandemic, and their number one priority for re-opening is the safety of students and staff.

MI School Research, the division of Banach, Banach & Cassidy, Inc., a Michigan-based social research and educational marketing firm, conducted a survey of over 14,000 from 62 Michigan school districts.

As of June 2, 2020, the State has NOT provided clear direction to schools on whether or not they will reopen, as we traditionally know them, in the Fall of 2020.

While there has been much discussions around schools opening, there is equally as many unanswered questions that the State has yet to formulate answers.  Richmond Community Schools is interested in gathering your perspective on several issues that may potential affect your child's education and instruction provided by Richmond Community Schools in the Fall.
